About Josiah

I teach based on your preference of music and your desires and expectations of what you want to learn. I also teach you everything I know about music including music notation, theory, how to read tablature, composition, basic and advanced chords, chord construction, scales, tuning, finger exercises, strumming patterns, picking patterns, finger picking, requested songs, shredding, and much more. I’m not a strict person at all, but do expect you to be committed as I am committed to you and teaching you all I know.

My name is Josiah Daniel Maughan and I’m 27 years old. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. I have a strong passion for music and love everything about it. I really enjoy teaching it to others so maybe one day they can use their talents I’ve taught them for something great and inspire others. I’ve learned many styles of playing like classical, metal, classic rock, punk, Christian, pop, alternative, indie, country, etc.

10+ years experience. Toured in bands. Theory training.

Josiah was an amazing instructor. He helped me learn how to play at my pace, and was always patient with me. He is a very talented guitar player, and I could tell he has a love for playing and helping others to play. I highly recommend him for any age or experience with the guitar.
