About A
Hello!
My name is Asher Brownlie, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself as a guitar teacher on this platform. With 12 years of experience as a guitarist and expertise in jazz, blues, rock/folk music, and songwriting, I am confident that I can provide a unique and enriching learning experience for my students.
Working with me, you can expect a passionate and dedicated instructor who genuinely cares about your progress and musical journey. I believe that learning an instrument should be a joyful and inspiring process, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for all my students. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to refine your skills, I tailor my lessons to suit your individual goals and aspirations.
My teaching style emphasizes a well-rounded approach to guitar education. While technical proficiency is important, I also emphasize the significance of understanding music theory, improvisation, and the emotional expression that lies at the heart of playing the guitar. With a diverse background in various musical genres, I can help you explore different styles and broaden your musical horizons.
As a songwriter myself, I believe in the power of creativity and self-expression through music. I encourage my students to explore their own musical ideas, offering guidance in songwriting and composition, enabling you to discover your unique voice as a musician.
I take great pride in witnessing my students' progress and accomplishments. Your success is my greatest motivation, and I will be there every step of the way, providing constructive feedback and nurturing your growth as a guitarist.
