About Matt
I have taught off and on since high school but have always had a passion for education in music, specifically learning musicianship beyond playing a couple of chords, making it easier to learn new songs without needing tabs
I have studied jazz and classical guitar for 5 years at a collegiate level and music theory for 3 years. I have a batchelors degree in commercial music from Liberty University.

I absolutely care about seeing my students make music as soon as possible, but also understanding why they are playing what they are playing. Therefore, especially in the beginning I split time between appropriate music theory and actual playing.
I have worked mostly with beginners but have also provided short-term coaching for more advanced students.
