About Marsha

We offer instruction in: voice, keyboard, brass, string, woodwind, to name a few. Most instructors are music professionals, well-versed in performance as well as instruction. Many of the leading roles in local school productions as well as some with roles in national touring companies of Broadway productions begin here.

All of the instructors share one common link: they love music! Music brings people together! There, the fun begins! We have ages ranging from the very young to the retired! Our international clientele assures us of a wide variety of music and styles. We believe that we instruct some of the most talented people around. Helping you to reach your musical goals is our passion!

Almost all of our pro-level instructors are either hold degrees in their discipline or are professional, performing artists that hold the same level of skill. Our student instructors are vetted in regard to skill, proficiency, and ability to teach. Some representative schools are, Peabody Conservatory (Johns-Hopkins) UMBC Honors College, Emmanuel College, University of West Virginia, St Mary's College of Maryland, and Towson State University, to name a few.

About the lesson

Your first lesson takes a few moments to allow you to get to know your instructor. He/she will then assess your goals, your experience, and gain an idea of how to accomplish those goals in the following lessons. Music is not another "chore" to be done, rather, it is an enriching life experience that is fun and exciting. That journey begins with your first lesson!

For any kind of personal instruction, find someone who LOVES what they do! Whether it is a school teacher, coach, or music instructor, those are the people you will receive the most from. When you love what you do, you inspire those you teach. Those you teach will go out and change the world!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where do I want to be 6 months from now? A year from now? Do I want to perform on television, theatre on Broadway, or just entertain my family and friends? Do I want to learn just for personal enrichment? Any of these are valid. Think about what your heart's desire is.

Student instructors begin at $16/half-hour. Pro-instructors are slightly higher per half-hour. Some instructors charge on a specialty basis, i.e., instruction in a particular discipline that requires more time and training.
