About Anjali

I am a singer songwriter and have experience as a touring recording artist. I teach multiple instruments though focus on piano, guitar (acoustic and electric) but also have a passion for home made recording, mixing through programs such as ableton live, garage band, reaper. I'd be more than happy to help students write their own songs and learn how to use song writing as a theruapeutic tool for self discovery.

Music is my passion. It's not just a "thing I do" but also a philosophy I live by, I stongly believe that if we put more love, time, money, and care into music and art we as a society would learn to work better with one another.

I have always had a love of teaching and educating but didn't really start until I finished college and was hired by a music academy to teach beginner piano, voice, and guitar lessons.

I have a bachelors of arts degree from Smith College where I took many music classes in music theory, composition, electonic recording, ect.

About the lesson

I give them time to show me what they know or are interested in knowing. If they are totally new to music I explain a little bit about sound and how and why music is important to all of us.

Mostly younger students though I have also taught adults.

I would say look for someone who is adaptable and conscious of your learning style, we all grow and explor the world in different ways and one method of teaching doesn't fit all. A good teacher is also a good learner, and will work with you!
