About Shneeka

I have been supporting their English development for approximetely 5 years. I have experience working with students of all ages and from many linguisitc and cultural backgrounds.
I received my master's degree in TESOL and Applied Linguisitics from Teachers College, Columbia University. I currently teach high school and young adult education in New York City.
I am available to help improve your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills or support your academic or professional needs. I am extremely flexible and am available to help as much or as little as needed.
I have a master's in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia Univeristy.
I am also a high school teacher who works with high schoolers of all ages and young adults.

When I begin working with a student, I will give them a quick assessment that helps me determine their speaking, listening, reading and writing ability. Then, I will create a plan with the student about what they want to improve and for what purpose. For example, a student may want to improve his/her writing so they can send stronger emails to colleagues or improve their speaking so they can better communicate with friends. Additionally, the student and I will discuss how they best learn and how I can best support them. Finally, the student and I will determine a schedule for meeting.
