About Nelson
I have been a PGA Member since 1991. I have had the title of Director of Instruction or Teaching Professional for more than 20 years. I am currently the Director of Instruction at Radnor Valley Country Club which is a private Country Club located in Villanova PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.
I conduct private lessons for men, women and juniors of all abilities. I use the V1 Digital Coaching System for video anylasis as well as the Flightscope launch monitor. I have also designed, promoted and conducted Short Game Schools, Ladies Beginner Clinics. Junior Clinics, Junior Golf Camp as well as a Junior Players Camp which is for or Juniors that play competitive golf. I also conduct on course lessons.
During the winter months I offer winter packages. The packages are conducted outside (weather permitting). Otherwise the lessons are conducted i
at our indoor facility. I also
conduct Golf Schools for my Students, Members and/or Guest at the PGA Golf Club in Port. St. Lucie Florida.
Being a PGA Golf Professional has given me the opportunity to travel the Country, play great golf courses as well as meet many wonderful people. For most of my career I have been the Teaching Professional or the Director of Instruction at some great Country Clubs. I love teaching the game of golf. To see someone learn to play or improve and to see how happy they are is the most satisfying moment for me as a Golf Professional.
I was fortunate to get a very good assistant position in South Florida and had the opportunity to start teaching early and learn from many top Instructors.
I am PGA Member (24 Years)
Certified Flightscope Instructor
Attended many PGA Instruction seminars that were conducted by many top Instructors including Butch Harmon, Jim Mclean, Jim Hardy, Craig Shankland, David Ledbetter and many more.

I like to talk to my student's at the beginning of the first lesson to find out how long they have been playing, if they have any physical limitations and what their goals and expectations are.
I have had the opportunity to work with kids, ladies and men that are beginners as well as club champions. I have also been fortunate to work with students with disabilities.

The level of professionalism & preparedness each day focused on each individuals’ needs was exceptional. I improved a lot and more importantly was given tools to continue to improve on my own. Highly recommend!!
I started taking lessons as a beginner almost 20 years ago. I still have a working relationship with Nelson and my golf game has never been better. I enjoy the game, he taught me to manage my expectations and how to measure risk and reward. Nelson is fantastic if you are looking to learn to play or you are a single digit hc. My young kids have also taken lessons with Nelson and both boys play for their respective schools. Thank You Nelson you rock.
Personal attention
Understands the swing and works with your natural abilities to make you better.
If something he was trying to teach you didnt make sense at first he would always think of another way to make it make sense.
Personalizes his coaching to meet me where I am. Each lesson is customized for the goal I want to accomplish.
Nelson is a great golf instructor. All instruction is totally customized, using great equipment (flight scope, video and other teaching aides). He is patient and professional, teaches students of all levels of ability, and helps them learn both mechanics and feel. He has tremendously helped my game both long term and for the quick fix when things get off track!
Best instructor out there! Put my game to the next level
Great and contemporary knowledge of golf swing. Explains things so one can understand and incorporate. I highly recommend Nelson as an instructor and just plain old good guy!
Great golf coach. Stresses fundamentals and building a good swing. Always patient and gives clear explanations of what he is trying to get you to do. Not to omit that he is a great person to spend time with. Terrific Florida golf trips/schools.
Great use of Video for teaching .
Great patienceHe is the best! He is always patience and full of advice and good suggestions on how best to implement his instructions.
Great use of the video tape during your lesson. Has a nice way of breaking down the golf swing.
Gave very good instruction. Nelson is very patient and fun to take lessons with. I would highly recommend him.
Personal knowledgeable and consistent
Observes weaknesses in game and focusses perfectly on those areas
