About Matt

We teach mobile golf lessons in the Tri-Cities area customized to you and your game. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced player we can help you. With over 20 years of teaching experience we specialize in working with all skill levels and kids (ages 8+), adults and seniors and offer both on-course (9 or 18 holes) & practice lesson- driving range, chipping or putting. We have taught hundreds of people over the years and would love to work with you.

Established in 2010, Premier Golf Lessons is your source for local golf instruction. Sign up today at (concealed information) or call us at (concealed information)

We look forward to working with you!

Matt's father was a PGA Golf Course Professional so he started teaching lessons at just 15 years old to customers at the golf course. He also was the Lead PE Golf Instructor at WSU in college and taught hundreds of students, as well as faculty and staff members.

We have over 25 years of teaching experience and have been playing golf for 35 years. Our President Matt Welch was the Lead PE Golf Instructor at Washington State University, where he taught golf to over 400 students. Many of his students saw great results and the teaching was such a success that he decided to start his own business teaching private golf instruction in 2010, and have been teaching with Premier Golf Lessons ever since.

We teach kids (ages 8+), adults & seniors at all levels of the game- beginner, intermediate & advanced. No matter what skill level you're at, we can help you.

About the lesson

Identify the issue and help you fix it. We do this by identifying the problem, correcting it, and repeating the correct procedure multiple times so get you used to learning the correct way. Many times we can fix the issue by adjusting your fundamentals for your grip, stance, swing or balance.

We also will teach golf to beginners with no experience. In this case we start from the very beginning with learning the fundamentals, club selection, and the different areas of the game- hitting, driving/woods, chipping & putting.

Kids (ages 8+), adults, seniors and companies- we offer company event lessons for businesses (customized lessons and pricing for this service- call us for details)

Go with a teacher like me that offers lessons for 1 hour. Most other instructors only offer 30 minutes lessons and that just isn't long enough. It's just not enough time to really get quality instruction and focus in your areas of improvement to help you correct the problem.

Also we take a personalized/custom approach for your style & ability, and have great pricing- among the best pricing around.

I take a yearly golf trip to Bend, OR and play many courses in that area.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
-What areas of your game do you need to improve?

-What type of instruction would best serve you (practice range, chipping, putting or on-course lessons)

-What goals for improvement would you like to see? For example- improve your iron play, get better at putting, etc.
