About Melvin

We focus on a whole approach to training.Attacking the physical demands of a sport that will test individuals mentally but tie it in as well as spiritually. Our athletes will be able to handle anything in their life with the right mindset

I love to see progress in my Athletes, to see them take and learn then apply to achieve success. When that happens it's like a light bulb goes off and they buy in more to the process.

It was something that came naturally as my time at University of Memphis came to a close, i found myself mentoring the up and coming class more to help them succeed.

I have over 8 years training in the sports performance area. I also have worked in the private sector for boutique gyms doing small to large group class training working with everyone from house wives to former professional athletes.

1) Phone call prior workout: This is to build rapport and get to know the athlete before our initial meeting.  Get to know the athlete more, their goals for the upcoming season, career aspirations, favorite food etc.

I have worked with softball , soccer , football and basketball in the areas of strenght and speed and agility training to improve on field production.

Homework, Homework, Homework... Find someone that has been where you want to go and can get you where you want to go. Coaches are a lifetime coach, they become more than just a sport or position coach they are a mentor, older brother/sister, father/mother figure and much more.

I recently had a chance to catch a few of my players perfroming in another sport and it was a blessing to hear them excited about getting ready for the new season, they love the process and how i made it fun yet grueling. Unfortunately i am not coaching this fall ( as of now) but i will work closely with some of the boys still.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1) how long have you been coaching?

2)What is your playing resume?

3) What are your views on (your particular sport) needs to be successful?

4)How can you help me achieve where i want to be?
