About Giovanna

Hello! My name is Giovanna and I am currently a Senior at Montclair State University. I am an English Education major and am hoping to become a high school English teacher after graduating. I have two years experience as a tutor and have previously tutored children between the ages of 7 - 14 years old. I try to customize every tutoring session to cater to the needs and goals of each student individually. My goal in each session is to help you improve whatever it is you need help with. We can discuss your strengths and weaknesses, come up with a plan of action on how you want the tutoring session to move forward, and practice skills and techniques to get you to your overall goal. I can create lesson plans to teach you the material and look for additional resources to help you along the way.

If you are a student who is struggling in their English class, needs help writing an essay, making an outline, learning to write in MLA/APA format, or editing a final draft paper I can assist you in all things English and Language Arts! Whether you need a one-time tutoring session or an ongoing tutor to help you build a solid foundation, I am here to help. All ages are welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs and goals of each student. I can tutor in reading comprehension, writing skills, literature, grammar, structuring an essay, brainstorming ideas for a writing piece, homework help, etc... As an English and writing tutor, I hope I can help others improve their writing skills and feel proud of their work. I hope I can help students achieve milestones in their writing career, regardless of how big or small. I am very excited to serve the community and provide tutoring services so that I can not only share my love for reading and writing but also strengthen my skills as a future educator.
