About Amanda
-Seeing students grow and watching that smile on their faces as they understand things they couldn't understand before.
-Reading an essay of theirs after working with them and seeing all of the improvements shining throughout the paper.
-Hearing a student tell me that they no longer hate the subject that we are working on.
I graduated from college with two majors; BA in Philosophy and in World Religions.
I have written countless essays and have always helped my peers with writing their own. I have also assisted/tutored 3 students on their college thesis.
I am currently working as a tutor to save up for grad school to become a college professor. So education is in my heart for the long run.

Look for someone you are comfortable with, and someone who is able to explain things on your level. Nothing is impossible to learn, it simply has to be explained in a way that YOU can understand.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about your strengths. What are you good at? What do you enjoy? And if your teacher can't think of anything, try to think of ways your teacher can use your strengths to help you do better in the subject you are struggling with. Whether it is the use of anecdotes, flash cards, movies, etc.

Details
I usually charge a minimum of $20 an hour. However, prices flunctuate depending on distance of travel, and the amount of subjects I am tutoring for one student. For every subject added, the standard is +$5 to the hour. If further explanation is needed, do not hesitate to ask.
