About Emma

The path for knowledge is full of passion and adventure. As a tutor I know each individual is unique and special. This simple fact of uniqueness means each person learns differently. My tutoring style focuses on this truth, and I treat each student as a genius just searching for their strengths. I personally study the material the student is given and prepare each session with the main focus on what they need to succeed.

Love seeing the student find a love for what they are learning and the excitement of seeing them improve.

I have always loved education but found working with a group of students frustrating because I couldn't focus on the one. As a tutor being able to work with students one on one I have found that passion to teach again.

High School graduate with honors (Straight A's in AP English and Humanities)

Associates degree in Psychology at Salt Lake City Community College graduated with honors

1 year volunteer experience as a second grade teachers assistant.

Extensive knowledge of classical English literature through personal study that began as a young child.

About the lesson

1. Personal get to know you session where I discuss what difficulties they are experiencing and uncovering their unique learning style.

2. Gather all the learning materials they have been given and personally study it to adapt it to how they learn.

3. Organize each hours session to allow time for questions.

4. After each session make time to see what went well or what went bad to adjust the next session accordingly.

Find someone who doesn't treat you as their job but as an individual with immense potential. Really pay attention and see if they are more interested in a ridged agenda or someone who is willing to adjust their teaching style to help you succeed.

The new video game Assassin's Creed Valhalla has just come out and through playing it i have found my current obsession of learning about Norway. Especially enjoying learning about it's history and how the language has evolved through time.
