About Tamia
I have a passion for English and helping students reach their full potential via enriched English skills. I believe the confidence and understanding one recieves from a passionate English instructor positively affects the reciever for a lifetime. I have extensive experience with teaching and tutoring English including, but not limited to: Introductory reading enhancement for readers throughout the spectrum of primary literary education through post secondary literary education, secondary and post secondary essay consulting, ghostwriting, and communication guidance. Alongside my five years of English tutoring experience, I also have three years of direct teaching experience. All of my experience is Florida based.
English is necessary through all aspects of life. The ability to understand and communicate, effectively, any and all ideas across a range of audiences is one of the most necessary skills to success. Regardless of one's occupation, every person must be able to effectively communicate their points to a conglomerate of people or else risk the degree of their success. Besides being a critical life skills, I think english, especially writing, is fun! My joy for english as a whole is inspired by my creative imagination and niche for speaking. Being able to transcribe thoughts cogently and coherently is exhilirating as it imbues one with the power of the pen. For me, the most fulfilling feeling is when I am able to give a student the confidence to create literary masterpieces they once did not believe they could.
My mother has been an educator for as long as I can remember; I would watch her and notice the impact a great teacher has on a community. I shadowed her until I was able to branch out on my own.

First I take time to get familiar with the student, their interests, skill set and where they may need to strengthen skills. Next an understanding of the student’s goal is reached, then I asses the best way to approach any problems detected.
