About Tori
My service stands out because I try and learn other different ways to help students learn and better understand what they are doing. I help them find different ways to remember methods that could help them learn better. I bring my own utencils, such as pencils, pens, highlighters and scrap paper. I'm also willing to help students with any subject they need, if I have already taken that class and completely understand it.
I enjoy working with kids and helping them understand what they are doing. As a fellow student (I'm in highschool) I understand how hard and stressful it could be to not understand the things being taught in school. I try to be very understanding and only focus on the things that students actually need help with. I let them ask me the questions rather than me just explain over and over again. I try to do this because I can understand that not all teachers can help or directly answer our questions.
I started tutoring my siblings and cousins seeing as they are younger than me. I also have tutored other students who are in lower grade levels then me.
I'm a highschool student, I tutor other students based on if I have taken the class or if I undertsand the material and I'm able to help them.

I have worked with first graders to either graders.
I would advise them to find someone who they believe would be reliable and able to help them. They should also try to find a common interest in the teacher or tutor so they could bond over something. I would also recomend to make sure that they fully know and understand the topic that they need help on.
