About Tracey

I love teaching others. Wether it's learning to speak a language, writing a story or letter or riding a horse, I love to teach! I have worked as a special education paraprofessional, a Social Worker and a homeschool teacher for my children. I have a license in Social work from the state of Minnesota.

I like teaching because bringing out the best in others. I believe every person has great abilities and sometimes it takes someone's help to bring out those great abilities.

I hope that people will join me in the journey of learning!

I like teaching adults and children so I wanted to assist students in learning. I began doing this in various ways in the past 20+ years and wanted to try an online platform.

I have worked with students (both adult and children) for over 20 years. I have worked as a social worker with adults as well as children. I have taught adults in a parenting class and have lead youth groups of teens in my church. Most recently I have given horseback riding lessons to students and lead an online class teaching students about horses.

About the lesson

When I work with a new student, I will spend a little time making small talk and getting to know them. I would want an understanding of what they would like to gain out of our time together. I would like them to let me know what I can do to foster their learning as well as make them comfortable in learning with me. I will also let them know a bit about myself and my experiences. Then we would learn from there.

Adults, children, students with special education needs, persons with disabilities. All of those in a variety of ethnicities.

I would give the advice to the student saying that they would do best with a person they connect with and have a style that they enjoy working with. Relationships and connections are key to any type of learning. Learning to read, write and speak in english can be fun if you enjoy and connect with the teacher and find new and interesting ways to learn.

My daughter recently started riding a new horse. She is 11 years old and has been riding for her entire life, but this horse is new to her. She was having trouble "connecting" to him and they were not communicating well together. We worked hard together figuring out what he and she needed to do to communicate better. She had an "aha" moment recently and I could tell she got it and the horse and my daughter have been doing well ever since.
