About Rachel
Hello!
I have been tutoring students in a multitude of subjects since 2009. I have my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from ODU with coursework in Education and all major subject areas. I have worked with students in 2nd grade through Doctorate programs. I'm passionate about helping you or your student find that AH HA! moment where everything clicks or helping refine a paper/book. For students requiring help reaching grade level or mastering a topic, I start with a pre-test to determine baseline understanding. Then I put together a curriculum to help them reach their goals.
For students/professionals looking for help refining a paper or book, we sit down for a consultation where I look over a rubric or prompt and we discuss what they are trying to achieve. Then we have 3-4 sessions to finalize their assignment.
I have worked with students from 2nd grade to Doctorate level researchers.

Details
For students in need of hourly tutoring, I charge $25/hr per student.
For students looking to refine a paper, I charge based on length. For a paper up to 5 pages, I charge $40 and that includes 2 sessions. For papers up to 10 pages, I charge $ 75 and that includes 3 sessions. For a thesis or book, it will depend on length and complexity.
