About Kim
I love helping students accomplish and overcome hard things. Helping a frustrated student become excited about a difficult subject, or enjoy learning is a passion of mine.
I have 16 years of education experience in Texas, Indonesia, and Illinois. I am a certified Generalist teacher, also certified in all grades for Physical Education.
I used to teach my stuffed animals when I was a child. I gave them papers and graded them all! I always wanted to be a teacher and have loved working with students from all around the world.
I am a certified teacher, hold an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Academics and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

I like to get to know my students- understand where they are coming from- what do they consider hard, easy, worth working on, not worth their time, etc. Then we can use that information to help gain understanding and enjoyment in the areas we are working on.
All types of students- general education, special needs, gifted and talented, and students from around the world.
Make sure you find someone who wants to fight FOR you and help you any way they can. Also make sure it's someone you can work with, enjoy working with, and feel encouraged by.
Vacation Bible School at church- I loved getting to share stories and work alongside my husband serving so many children!
