About Kent

When teaching English, I will use several different approaches with the student to help them learn the subject matter. I adapt quickly to the student and their learning preference. However my usual teaching method is to first explain the lesson, show examples and then check the students understanding.

Hello, my name is Kent. I'm looking to tutor adults only please. I’m from the US, born and raised. I’ve been teaching ESL for 5 years. Through the years I have taught all facets of the language. However, I am especially good at teaching pronunciation, speaking and communication. I believe through diligent practice and lots of interaction (speaking and listening) with a native speaker is the best way to improve your English. Also, it should be done in a relaxed and natural environment.

Years ago I was travelling through SEA and decided to try it. I realized that I liked it and followed through

Currently I have 6 years of teaching ESL in SEA. Throughout the years I have taught in classrooms and online to students of all levels and ages.

I helped a school reopen after months of being closed. The teachers welcomed the parents and played English games with the students. It was enjoyable experience and didn't feel like working.
