About Lisa
I am a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching K-5 in Texas, Michigan, and Florida. Currently, I teach 5th grade in Sarasota. I have a Master's Degree in reading and language arts and was my school's 20-21 Elementary ELA Teacher of the Year. I have successfully tutored children in grades K-5 in reading and math, and I am confident that I can help your child succeed as well.
I offer complimentary meet and greet to discuss your child's individual needs.
I enjoy working with children and watching them grow in their learning.
I did not set out to be a teacher. I was majoring in business administration when I had an opportunity to work with children. I loved it, and the children were drawn to me. I knew this was something I had to persue. I guess, in my heart of hearts, I knew I would be a teacher. I enjoyed playing school as a kid, and my career interest surveys always indicated teaching as a good fit for me.
I am a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience. I have attended numerous trainings thought my career, but my favorite ones were always literacy based and any hands-on math trainings.
