About Leslie
I think that my service stands out because I am a student trying to help other students. As a college student now I really wished someone had helped me in school when I was younger, especially in middle school and high school. Because of that I was always glad to help my siblings and peers with assignments, and I'm glad that I have the opportunity to help more students.
I enjoy helping students improve their academic skills as well as teaching them to use resources that are available to them to their greatest potential, ultimately reflecting on their grades, essays, and overall improvement.
My tutoring services focus on the subject of English. The education that I have that relates to this subject is that I excelled in these subjects in classes such AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language and Composition. I passed these classes and the AP exams that were required of these classes. I am now a college student, and by using the skills that I previously learned, I am able to write laborious essays for a wide variety of topics in my college classes.

My typical process begins with getting to know the students' needs so that I can assist them in their academic progress. I will ask them questions about what they need more help with. I will work with the students' materials because I do not want to add more workload or stress onto their schedules.
I have worked with various age groups including elementary, middle school, and high school. I have worked with my siblings, friends, and classmates.

Some questions students can think about before talking to me about their needs are:
-What area in this academic subject do I struggle with?(Is it spelling, theoretical analysis, reading and understanding the text? etc.)
-What is my goal with tutoring? (overall improvement, grades, analytical skills? etc.)
