First, I like to talk to students to find out who they are. What they like, don't like, what makes them tick. Once I have a basic understanding, then I can begin to help them with their subject matter.

Mr. Hayes was my journalism teacher in high school. He engaged with all his students and inspired us to take an active part in our learning.
Brian is incredibly smart, kind, and patient. He takes the time to ensure that students are understanding material from multiple aspects. He also respects his students and treats them like actual human beings.
Mr. Hayes was one of the best teachers I have ever had. To this day I still remember many things and topics from his classes, and a lot of the things he taught me has resonated with me to this day. Along with being an awesome teacher, he’s also a damn good person.
My favorite high school English teacher! Very engaged, cares about the success of all his students. Made a difference in my education. Wrote very helpful notes on my graded papers- my strengths, and what I could do to improve! Wish more teachers were like Mr. Hayes!
Brian Hayes is an inspiring educator. He taught me how to read with an analytical eye and prepared me for college-level writing. He is a kind and genuine person. I benefited so much from being his student.
A excellent teacher who always takes the extra moment to make sure the assignment is truly understood.
Mr Haynes was my teacher many years ago. His ability to connect with students provides inspiration to explore a variety of educational concepts. He is the reason why I voluntarily picked up a book for fun and challenged me to become a better writer. I appreciate his style of teaching and after many years I am very grateful for his knowledge.
Was my English teacher for my senior year! Taught me to think in a different way, enjoyed reading the books he assigned us. A positive role model, cared for his students and always willing to help.
Excellent teaching, very patient and passionate about his job. Really gets to know his students and works with them as individuals. Would highly recommend this teacher.
Mr. Hayes is one of the best educators I've ever had in my many years of schooling! He's a kind, patient, encouraging and inspiring teacher. He is always willing to not only teach but also to learn from his students as well. He truly goes the extra mile for his students and that's something that sticks with us!
He was simple and patient. Always learned the point. He was a wonderful teacher.
Doesn't overload you with information and goes step by step to make sure you know what is going on.
Keeps things real and straight to the point. If he sees a weakness in writing or reading, he will tackle that before anything else so there aren’t any gaps in the learning process of higher thinking material.
Brian pairs compassion and humor with extensive content knowledge and clear, concise teaching. I highly recommend Hayes Tutoring.
