About Emilee

Hi! My name is Emilee, and I’m a passionate and experienced English tutor dedicated to helping students grow in confidence and skill.

I have 5 years of teaching experience as an ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading) teacher, working with a wide range of learners at the middle and high school levels. I hold a degree in Communications, which has strengthened my expertise in writing, critical thinking, and effective communication.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience tutoring students across multiple levels, including college. I specialize in essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and test preparation. I also have extensive experience revising and editing college-level papers, helping students refine their ideas, strengthen their arguments, and improve clarity and structure.

My tutoring style is supportive, personalized, and focused on meeting each student where they are. Whether you need help understanding a novel, organizing an essay, or polishing a final draft, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I got started with pursing a teaching career two years ago as my family inspired me to follow my dream to go into teaching.

I have my bachelors in Communications from Lamar University. Currently working on my teacher's certification course. I have working with students for about 5 years and official tutoring experience for 1 year.

About the lesson

I like to intial meeting with students or parents and talk about that the student is struggling with. I will talk about what kind of goals the student would like to achieve from a tutoring session. After that I will come up with a plan that best suits the student.

I have worked with students from elementary to college level.

My best advice would be to find someone who is going to help you achieve your goals. Your education matters and students deserve the best education no matter what. As a tutor money is not everything to me, but inspiring and helping students means the world to me and other teachers/tutors.
