About Jake
Over years of high school English, it has proven to be my most valued and skilled subject in regular school. Essays, comprhension questions, and annotations are somewhat of a breeze and I hope to carry that on to my students. With my mother being a published author, and me in AP Literature and Composition, I think I can help with anything regarding to literature. I am free all the time, do not hesitate to reach out for assistance.
Like I said before, I have been a peer tutor for most of my life and now with going to college soon, I am aim to provide with everything I learned of my years in high school to my students. Through my AP classes and extracuricular projects I have made it a passion of mine to work on my craft and I would like to bring that to my students.
I am a student going into my senior year of high school. I have been a peer tutorfor most of my life. Even though I am young, I see this as one of the greatest gifts a kid my age or younger can recieve from a tutor. It is a differentsetting where the student can relate to their tutor more. It is more like two friends just engaging in the material presented. The older teacher setting can be stressful and unwanted but with a younger tutor I can promise fun as well with inprovement.

First, depending at what they are proficient at and what they are having trouble with, I will make a list of what we need to focus on in our meetings and what we can ease up on. After, I will try and come up with some strategies about how we can best approach the areas where they will need help. From here we will spend time going over material in depth with the guarentee of progress.
Middle school, early highschool, and late high school.
I would say figure out what you need in a tutor and stick by that. If you need more structure and intense exploration of literature, then maybe go with someone more experienced. But if you need just a refresher, touch up on some areas, essay help, or comprehension help then do not be afraid to try out my service.

I charge 20 dollars an hour. I try to keep it on the lower side because of my lack of training but I am flexible on the price if it is needed. I am just happy to help.
