About Stacey

I am a certified Vermont PreK-6 teacher. I have been teaching for the last 7 years. I was a Math and Literacy Interventionist for 5 years, a Preschool teacher for one year and I am currently teaching English online(1 year). I am very skilled at learning about students strengths and learning abilities.

I enjoy teaching students but enjoy helping students who struggle finally make the connections they need. I teach in a fun and patient manner while still pushing students to do their very best. I am able to assess each child and determine the best approach to their individual learning abilities.

I have a vast background working with students in Math and Literacy but I can tutor in other subjects as well.

I enjoy teaching because I like helping people. It is gratifying to me to see people achieve their goals and to learn new things. I want to teach because I want everyone to enjoy learning and I want education to be fun and fulfilling for everyone.

I volunteered in Mumbai India and worked in an orphanage. I taught the children English and ever since that moment I have dedicated my life to teaching.

About the lesson

When working with a new student I will assess their abilities first. I determine what type of learner they are, kinestic, auditory, visual, etc. Once I've figured out their learning style I will figure out their level of learning, whether its their reading level or their abilities in math.

Once I have figured out the students abilities I will come up with a plan on how to meet all their needs. I will set up a schedule and lessons for each session that I work with the student. I will also work with student to create expectations for the tutoring session and independent work.

I have worked with students aged 3-55. I have worked with students with high skill levels as well as low skill levels. I have worked with students who have learning disabilities as well as students who English is there second language.

Look for someone who is patient and willing to put your learning and educational needs first. Someone willing to out in the extra effort to make sure you are learning what you want and how you want to learn it.

I completed a year on teaching English online. I taught students from all around the world remotely and have students I have been working with for 1 year.
