About Emily
Since 2017 I have been teaching one-on-one online English lessons and am TESOL certified. People learn in different ways and I base my teaching style on the individual student's learning style.
I enjoy English! I have a Master's in Library and Information Science. I love reading and writing. It is so exciting to see a student come to love reading and writing too. I really enjoy being a part of a student's journey of becoming better at English. Everyone is able to learn and the time spent studying pays off!
My first teaching position was in 2012, I taught theraputic art lessons in public schools. We worked on creating art as a way to express feelings.
I began teaching English lessons online in 2017. I've been teaching English ever since and I love helping students grow!
I have earned a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate.
I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. My Master's degree is in Library and Information Science. All of my college experience was reading and writing focused.

First, I like to get to know each student personally! People learn in different ways and so I like to base my teaching methods on the student's learning style.
I have primarily worked with students ages 4 to 16. These students were learning English as a second language and were at all different learning levels. I was able to work with these students on an ongoing basis.
I have also taught English to adults in a classroom setting. These lessons were focused on conversation, spelling, and grammar.
