I was a horrible student and really knew how to annoy every teacher I came across. Sadly, I was passed yearly through school, until I was in Ms. Cohen class (1997 &1998). Unfortunately, I was unable to annoy her enough to pass me. She actually took the time to understand me and how I was digesting information. I grew to trust her when I didn’t trust anyone as teenager . A remarkable teacher that created a safe place has impacted my life in the greatest kind of way. As an adult, I completed college and graduate school because one teacher gave me the courage to believe in myself because she believed in me. Thank you Ms. Cohen!

You have been one of the most absolute amazing women at pshs! You’ve taught me how to be more confident in my writing and in myself. You helped give me a voice when no one else would. You are such an awesome teacher for letting me feel safe and have safe place to be myself and be at my most creative.

Thank you for simply being you. You’ve most definitely have made a mark on my life. And I plan on using not only the English and comprehensive writing skills that you taught me, but as well as the other things that helped mold me as a young adult.
