About Carlie

As a senior in college, I have been thinking a lot about the fact that my time at school––at least for a while––is coming to a close. No one has helped me more in my life than my teachers and others from whom I have learned, so what better way to stay in the learning world than to become a teacher? My goal is to help students realize how great they can be, what more could a teacher ask for?

I am a senior at Brown University set to graduate in May 2021, concetrating in English literature. Outside of my academic pursuits I am a senior editor and content director for the Brown Political Review, an entirely student-run bi-partisan magazine for political journalism. I have also had many writing and editorial internships during my time here, and having been published by a number of sites.

About the lesson

When it comes to writing, everyone has their own voice. As a practiced writer and editor, I've found that getting to know your own voice is the best way to understanding where your writing needs improvement...but most importantly what makes it great! Let's find your voice, because I can't wait to see the things you are able to do with it.
