About Delaney

Hi! I am currently finishing my undergraduate studies (B.S. of Biology) at Grand Canyon University. Once I graduate, I am attending an accelerated DVM program. I have studying chemistry and biology for the last 8 years, and I absolutely love it. But if I'm being honest, I've always loved every aspect of school and learning and I hope to be able to spread that love to the students I work with! Previously, I have been employed as a private nanny and a competitive swim coach- I have a passion for teaching kids!

I have taught children aged 3 years to 18 years old for the past 8 years! I have taught a variety of areas, from general 8th grade education to swimming.

Associates Degree (Paradise Valley CC, 4.0 GPA)

Bachelor's Degree (In-progress)

About the lesson

First, we have to get to know one another! No effective learning happens when a student is nervous or unsure! Once that happens, I want to hear from them about their concerns and what they are good at. From there, we can decide what we want to work on to get better! I want every student to take an active role in their education!

I have worked with a wide range of students. I have experience with children aged 3 years to 18 years. I have worked with children with special needs, including gifted children, ADHD/ADD, Down syndrome, and autism.

Always find someone who's personality is enjoyable to you. Some students like a very straightforward teacher, while other prefer a more personal approach to education. Don't be afraid to try out a next teacher if you don't feel comfortable with the instructor you are currently with- we are here to help you the best way we can!

Recently, I just started a new part-time job as a veterinary assistant. I am only in-office 2 days a week as a roving employee, but I love being able to be in the environment that J hope to continue in for the rest of my career! Securing this job was a very fond moment for me!

Currently, I am only offering online, virtual tutoring due to COVID. If it is extremely necessary to have in-person tutoring, we can discuss! Typically, I charge $18/hour, but it is flexible based on the type of job and the requirements unique to your student.
