About Kaitlin
My lessons are always centered on the interests of my students. We can learn and use English using any content topi, be it their fairy tales or a planet they want to know more about! I also love using hands-on lessons and ones that include a lot of talking, asking questions, playing games, and having fun!
My favorite part of teaching English to young students is seeing them gain confidence and take risks using their newly acquired skills in classrooms and with other people. Teachers and friends of such students are most often extremely supportive and encourage them to try their skills even more, which leads to a cycle of pride and growth. That makes me so proud!
My B.S. is in Early Childhood Education from Temple University, and I have a PreK-4th grade teaching certificate. I am currently halfway through my coursework for a K-12 ESOL teaching certificate.

I like to get to know the student on a personal level: likes, dislikes, things they want to learn more about, things they like about school and are scared to do in school, and what they want to be able to do (personal goals, if they are old enough to articulate that). I also want to know what the parent/guardian's goals are for their child and what they think their strengths/needs are as a student and as a child.
