About Jodi
I am an education professional who has managed out of school time literacy programs for 8+ years. I have provided high quality tutoring services to over 300 students as a nonprofit Program Manager at Communities in Schools and Horton's Kids.
My passion is helping students to develop their skills and overcome any hurdles that stand in their way. I provide an individualized approach to tutoring depending on each students' unique learning style and needs. I help students to develop an intrinsic motivation and support them on their path toward reaching their goals, whatever those may be.
I have experience with all grade levels but especially enjoy working with grades K-8. I have been working with elementary schoolers for 12 years and am passionate about their reading development. I graduated college with a minor in elementary education and continued developing my literacy instruction through trainings with Fountas and Pinnell and Literacy Footprints, two leading reading intervention systems in schools today.
I offer acadmic support in all subjects for elementary and middle schoolers. However, I only offer ELA support to high schoolers.
