About Joshua
I have worked successfully with students of varying ages and intellectual abilities. I have helped highschool students raise standardized test scores so that they can get (or increase) scholarship money. I haved helped elementary school students improve substantially with basic arithmitic and reading skills. I have been a highschool english and history teacher, an elementary art teacher, and a K-12 music teacher. I know that the best education requires excellent communication, building trust, and cultivating a desire in the student to learn.
My masters degree is in theology, My undergraduate degree is in English Education, I earned certification as a PE coach in the state of Florida, and have worked closely and succesfully with students with a wide range of special needs including dyslexia, autism and cerebral palsy. I have also worked with graduate and doctoral students on their theses and dissertations, both native and nonnative english speakers and writers.
