About Noah
As a Junior in high school, I know what learning strategies worked for myself, and my peers in both Elementary and Middle Schools. I have been a straight 'A' student in all of my English and History courses, as I feel comfortable with the material in the English and History subjects, particularly. At school, I write for the school newspaper, as well as founding a nonpartisan political journal. I am an avid member of the Model United Nations club and play Varsity Baseball. I am experienced in working with children, through extensive babysitting, volunteer work, and regular peer tutoring sessions.
I enjoy reading and writing, as well as having analytical discussions. I want to share my abilities in this field with younger students, in order to help each individual reach his or her greatest academic potential in a specific subject.
I began tutoring my younger cousins, in varying subjects, over the past few years. Since then, my teaching has expanded to friends, peers, and other family members.
I have extensive babysitting experience, with children of varying ages. Additionally, I have been a part of several volunteer programs in which I taught students, young and old. I have tutored friends and younger family members in several subjects that range from English classes to Math classes.

Typically, I like to get acquainted with the student that I am tutoring before beginning work. I feel that establishing a comfortable relationship is. conducive to better learning. After creating a rapport with the student, I like to learn about their previous learning techniques and strategies, as well as explaining my hands-on approach to learning. For English classes, this approach typically including reading out loud, developing strategies to include a higher vocabulary in writing assignments, and conducting in-depth analyses.
I have worked with all types of students, experiential learners and textbook learners, shy and outgoing learners, and I have been able to adapt my teaching method to properly suit each student.
I would advise any student searching for an English tutor to search for someone that fits his or her learning style. I would strongly suggest that each student makes their preferences clear and open, as to establish the most beneficial student-tutor relationship as possible.
It was very rewarding to watch the Kindergarten graduation ceremony of a group of students that I have worked with. Their program ended in the Fall, and I was very proud to watch them succeed after much hard work.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
First, a student should ask themself what their greatest strengths and weaknesses are. Next, the student should begin the process of pinpointing their academic needs and determining what a tutor could offer them help with. Lastly, the student should have an open mind going into each tutoring session, as to not limit learning potential.
