About Cheryl
My son struggled with reading until he received Academic Intervention Services in 3rd grade in his elementary school. I know how difficult it can be to see your child struggle and not know how to help. When I saw the transformation that my son when through, I was inspired to go back to school to receive a Masters in Education and a Literacy certificate. I now help children just like my son who just need to be taught reading strategies necessary for being a good reader. : )
I love children! I am also a mom of three teens; 16 year old boy/girl twins and 15 year old daughter. Teaching is very rewarding. I love seeing the excitement in my student's eyes when they see their own progress.
I went to college to be a teacher
I am a dual certified elementary school Academic Intervention Services teacher. I help K-5 students who are falling behind in reading, writing and math. I have a New York state elementary education certificate and a NY state certificate in Literacy.

I have worked in preschools and elementary schools. I am currently an academic intervention teacher in an elementary school. I have ENL students, classified students and regular ed students.
