About Mya

I graduated from high school with a rank of 19/256 in my class in 2017, and I am currently studying to receive a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, with a concentration in English Education, with the intention to graduate in the Fall of 2021. English is my first language, and I scored an ACT English subscore of 35 (New SAT score 1550) while in high school. My strengths are English grammar, essay writing and proofreading, and literature analysis. I am incredibly passionate about teaching and helping students learn in the hopes of raising their class grades and helping them pass their classes. I feel confident to help high school students at any grade level or class type (AP/IB, DE, etc) and college students in 1000/100 and 2000/200 level English/literature classes. I fell in love with teaching in my junior year of high school; I had a Spanish teacher who was so admirable in everything she did and how she treated her students that it sparked a love of education within me. My senior year English teacher inspired to take the path of teaching English because of how engaging and fun her class was and how much I loved the way she brought literature to life.

About the lesson

I will let you introduce your assignment to me, I will read any supplementary materials you can provide, and I will either give feedback for papers/essays and grammar assignments or advice and insight for analysis assignments.

I have not done any professional work yet, as I have been mostly working with close friends and offering to help them as needed for free.

You should find someone who will be useful for what you need. You can get any tutor, but they won't necessarily have the skills needed for a specific assignment.

A recent event I am fond of would be a final I completed recently, where the professor allowed us to recite any piece of text we had read during the semester for bonus credit; his excitement and joy and feedback were very positive and created a great classroom environment.
