About Kimberly

My service stands out because I have experience with different school systems (AP and IB), recently went through the college application process, and have high attention to detail and I am commited to helping you suceed. I will be living in Seattle long-term and available as a consistent support for students I tutor.

I can help out with writing skills (including college essays), literacy, math, time-management skills, science (especially chemistry), history (MEHAP and HL IB Euro history), French (5 on AP exam), general homework questions and test-taking skills. I took the ACT (34) for college entrance but able to help with either SAT or ACT prep.

I have lots of experience working with youth including a teacher’s aide at a local elementary school throughout my four years at Whitman (focused on math and literacy), a camp counselor at a French language summer camp, and resident assistant at my college for two years.

I enjoy helping students succeed and meet their goals. Getting started on homework, exam prep, or writing essays can be difficult (believe me, as a recent graduate I know what it feels like to have a lot on your plate), but I can help provide encouragement and guidance to make things a whole lot easier.

I began tutoring elementary school students as part of an afterschool homework club when I was in middle school so I have been passionate about teaching for a long time. In college, I worked as a classroom assistant for elementary school students and as a mentor at an afterschool program.

Highschool: I took AP and IB classes so I understand how both systems work and can help students with class material and test prep. My AP classes included Modern European History and French. My IB classes included Higher Level: Chemistry, History, and English; Standard Level: Spanish, German, and Math. I also took TOK.

I took the ACT for college entrance and got a 34.

I was a psychology major and computer science minor in college and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

I recently went through the college application process so I would love to help you with your college search and the essay writing process.
