About Hillary
One of my main goals as a tutor is help students get what they need; we discuss what they already know about the topic or assignment, and we work on a plan together for what they need to know. This means that strong communication, dedication, and flexibility are required of both the student and myself.
I also have 10+ years of experience tutoring and teaching English, ages 12 and up.
I love meeting new students! In addition, I enjoy tracking students' progress to show students how far they have come.
I earned a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition (Writing), a Master's degree in Literature, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education (grades 6 through 12) and English.

I have worked with a range of students, ages 12 and up. However, not only have I worked with middle school to university students, but I have also tutored ESL students and students with disabilities (particularly those on the autism spectrum).
