About Abby
I am a High school Junior with a passion for helping children and young teens reach their academic goals. I maintain A's in my IB English courses in school and participate in many clubs. I hold an editor position in the yearbook at my school!
I enjoyed mentoring students in middle school and saw just how much having someone on the student's side to help them truly made a difference in their academic year.
I am a SODA mentor in 4th-grade classrooms where I teach the students about healthy and positive relationship building
I tutor students with special needs in my community to help them obtain their academic goals
I have served as a teachers assistant in a Science classroom and an English/Yearbook classroom where I grade papers, plans lessons, and help with labs, homework, and essays

My first priority when working with a new student is to get to know them and understand what their academic goals are as well as learning about their learning style so that I can best accommodate their needs. I will next evaluate the child's needs in the field in which they would like to work on and make a detailed plan for the child and family with information on how we will go forward in our tutoring process.
I have experience with children from Pre-K through 8th grade
