About Nicole
I have a passion for teaching students of all ages. I am just about finished with my undergrad in Communication Arts and Literature Education. I will be licensed to teach English in grades 5-12 in December of 2019.
I have experience as a peer tutor in a college writing center. I held the position as the Student Coordinator for the center for one semester after tutoring for two years.
I have experience in British, American, and Native American literature.
I am an avid reader and writer.
I like to see progress while working with my students! Every small detail can make a paper outstanding.

I enjoy asking a few questions at the beginning of each tutoring session. Getting to know the needs of students on a specific assignment helps me to tutor in the best way. Some of the questions I may ask are: "What are the expectations of this assignment?" "Do you want to read this part out loud, or you would like to listen to me read it?" "Is there anything about the assignment that you don't understand or would like to look at first?"
