About Isabella

Hello! I am a undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Public Health and Psychology. Throughout my academic career, I have been a strong writer and love to help classmates who are struggling with their writing and reading comprehension. If you are struggling with the following, I can help:

-Essay editing/corrections

-Formulating essay topics

-Reading comprehension

-Persuasive and creative writing

-Writing Prompts

I have always been passionate about teaching, and have been a swim instructor for 5 years. Even though swim instructing has no relation to reading, writing and English, it does require teaching skills. I do believe that sometimes it is not the material that is the most challenging to the student, but rather the way that it is taught that is the most challenging.

I have gone through and achieved high marks on my college level writing and reading courses. I also have experience with exam essay questions regarding the SAT exam. I am also a teachers assistant at the university, so I assist professors at the university regarding grading and teaching along with helping students with any questions or assignments that they may be struggling with.

About the lesson

Before starting any work I would like to get to know how the student has tried to approach the assignment or problem and get to know what their strengths and weaknesses are. Once those 3 steps are figured out I will make up a plan and discuss how we both are going to approach the problem and begin our work from there!

I have worked with students from pre-k up up through adults!

One piece of advice that I would give is just like you are trying to get to know me, I am also trying to get to know you! In order to help you, you must also help me by open communication about what is and is not working for you.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
