About Patrick
I am a teacher with over 8 years of experience. I have primarily taught English as a Second Language and Literature/Writing. I have experience teaching World History, Journalism and Python/Web Development. I'd love the opportunity to help anyone through their subject material and hopefully help them enjoy the course work.
I have a BA in English, Minor in Philosophy from Truman State University. I also have an MED from University of Missouri-St. Louis. I n addition to formal education, I have worked in classrooms for over 8 years and learned a lot along the way.

I like to start with a conversation where I determine where they are at and what they hope to accomplish over the period of time we are working together. I then like to see what they have for coursework and look to see if supplemental work is needed. I encourage students to take ownership of their learning and act as a guide and add a little more flame to the fire.
Finding what the student needs and what they want to accomplish is the biggest first step. After that, it is simply determining learning styles, previous knowledge and linking everything together.
