About Nicolette

I am a published author, writer, editor and tutor, providing me with great experience amongst all types of writing. I am the author of the book, Control Mindset, and a regular blog writer for the UCLA #1 Women's Magazine, Her Campus. I edit for the UCLA Undergraduate Research Journal of Psychology along with college admission essays, school papers, cover letters and more.

I love helping students improve their writing and reading skills, as watching them improve throughout our time working together is extremely fulfilling. I love to read and write, and working with students allows me to puruse this passion beyond my personal endevours.

I began as a volunteer tutor and then began diving into teaching opportunities.

I am a published author, editor, and writer, majoring in Psychobiology with a minor in Professional Writing at UCLA.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I first determine the end goal of the session in order to devise a specific plan that will accomplish all of the student's needs. Then, I work with the student's learning style in order to ensure they are getting the most out of their tutoring session. I always leave the student with a personalized guide to approaching the subject/question at hand in order for them to apply what they learned outside of the tutoring session.
