About Monique

Hello! My name is Monique, and I am an experienced tutor with a passion for education and helping students reach their full potential. With 2 years of teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of working with students from various backgrounds and age groups, assisting them in achieving their academic goals.

As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new concepts, and developing critical thinking skills. I understand that every student is unique and has their own learning style, so I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. Whether it's explaining complex concepts in simpler terms, providing additional resources, or offering real-life examples, I strive to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

In college, I was the team captain of my Track & Field team. After graduation, I coached the women high school Track and Field team. I've mastered skills in coaching, training, and working as a manager for over 3 years. Currently, I work in the school system where I am able to directly help to improve students' skills in all subjects.

I currently work as a Substitute Teacher and assist with a variety of subjects including English, Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies from grades Pre-K to 12. I also graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health and a minor in Psychology.

I've been working with a student in kindergarten who has been struggling with their alphabet sounds. Since working with me, she has improved by 45% in the past 3 weeks and is moving easier through her alphabet.
