About Milan
As a younger person and recent college grad (I'm 22), I have very recent memory of what it's like to be in school and go through both routine homework, tests, and essays as well as standardized testing and the SATs. I have been a dedicated student my whole life (receiving mainly As throughout my whole life and graduating from college Magna Cum Laude), and in particular I have had a passion and skill for writing, both creative and more academic styles, throughout my educational career. I have worked with kids of all ages in a variety of different settings (tutoring, camp counseling, babysitting), but I especially love working with older (9+ y/o) kids.
I know how deeply and profoundly my teachers and mentors have affected me throughout my life. The way that a teacher connects with a kid and does or doesn't try to help them and listen to them can be deeply impactful. I absolutely love working with students and being able to give even just a small bit of the validation and guidance that my teachers provided for me. Additionally, I think kids and teenagers are incredibly fun to interact with as people because of their honesty and earnestness.
