About Kris
I have been an elementary school teacher for 20 years. I hold a Multi-Subject CA Teaching Credential with CLAD (training to teach English to non-native speakers) and adults. Additionally, I have a Masters degree in business. I make learning interesting and fun and varied from the teaching approach that hasn't been working for you. Your grades will soar!
I love finding interesting fun ways to teach and am a lifelong learner. I love to learn new things and read books daily. I model the lifelong learning lifestyle I promote to my students. Children can tell when you are genuine.
I am energized by helping children and adults reach their highest potential. I believe sticking with consistent practice and having an "I Can Do" attitude is how you become a success.

I talk to my student about their interests and use their interests as a guide to teach. I also am very creative in teaching a variety of methods. I help develop a positive additude toward learning building self-esteem for successful future outcomes.
I have worked with English speakers and whole classrooms of English Language Learners. I love teaching a young student to read, write, and speak, as well as helping adults step up their game at work. I have taught adults teaching proper enunciation and intonation.

Perfect! I was struggling to efficiently help my daughter with her reading and writing due to lack of time and honestly some patience. I contemplated hiring a tutor and wasn’t sure where to start but I’m so happy I found Kris here. She has made everything so smooth and most importantly my daughters reading and writing has improved. I love that Kris is patient, kind, but most importantly effective. My daughter is 5 and I struggled teaching her because of her attention span and Kris’s patience and skill has been amazing. I can’t recommend her enough.
