About Joy
I am currently a student myself, so I understand the stresses that this generation of students face. I understand the standards that schools have and am able to teach accordingly.
I enjoy giving students the chance to completely understand the materials given to them. I love giving students an equal chance to advance in the fast-paced world that we live in.
I started teaching in high school. I noticed that in my math classes my fellow peers had a difficult time understanding what my teachers were explaining. I decided that there would be no harm in explaining the material in a different way. This caught the attention of my teachers and from then on I have held tutoring sessions after school in a variety of subjects.

I like to give an assessment to my student and determine which areas in the subject the are not understanding. Then I take these sections and compose various lesson plans and practice problems until my student can comprehend the new learned skill. Then I like to give a final assessment and determine whether or not these sections have to be revisited.
