About Rachel
I love watching my students learn the process of writing that brings them to produce good pieces on their own.
I work with 17 year olds and up. I take great satisfaction in helping them produce their best work. I have graded around 1000 college essays at UC Irvive and the University of Wyoming. I have a PhD in European History, and I was a Fulbright Scholar.
As a graduate student.
My PhD is in History, a writing-intensive field, and I spent two years teaching writing at UC Irvine's Humanities Core Course, a rigorous freshman curriculum.

I read the rough draft. I discuss ideas that we can jump off of. From there we go back and forth between analysis and putting that analysis into writing. Depending on the audience, It can take a number of drafts as we hone how the writing reflects the ideas the student has.
Mostly college and grad students. Some masters students. Some college essays.
