About LeAndra

What makes my services unique is that I had to overcome a learning disability(dyslexia) as well as manage A lifetime disorder ADD. That being said If I can make friends with math, so can anyone. I have a background in the health sciences and the healing arts. I have a passion for writing, psychology, and health sciences. However, my biggest passion is to be of service to others.

Disclaimer, I have no formal teaching credentials. However, I'm working on an instructor's license to teach massage therapy and I have spent many years studying the hard sciences and enjoy helping others,

My personal educational training is not formal training but rather based on experience (8-10 years studying pre-nursing, hard sciences, psychology, and writing)and an accumulation of 20 years in the health sciences( LMT)and a life long passion for learning and being of service to others.

About the lesson

I am new to tutoring, therefore, there is no formal or specific "process". I believe the process should be tailored to meet each student's individual needs. Like most of you, as a student I too have had my share of academic struggles and know what it is like to be in your shoes. However, the struggle is an important part of the learning process as well as making mistakes and most importantly never be afraid to ask questions. Whether its test anxiety, dyslexia, or you just need someone to proofread your paper I am a lifelong student as well as a lifelong learner, together we can learn from each other.

I have worked with Massage Therapists to prepare for their state board exam, and have assisted in essay writing , biology, and pre-algebra.

Look for their area of expertise as well as their teaching style to see if they will be a good fit. I try to make learning fun!

I recently gave a math challenge to my daughter and her friend. If they wanted to purchase something online, at 70 percent off they had to do the math to figure out the final price plus shipping. I helped them through the challenge and they figured it and got rewarded!
