About Erik
My name is Erik Hjortnaes and I have a Masters degree in English. I offer the tools to excel in school for all ages and grades. I'm able to help with academic papers, research, essays, punctuation, grammar and spelling. I have studied literature, business writing, scriptwriting, essay writing, and writing for film and television. If you need help with your course work or just want to improve your writing I'm here to help.
I enjoy helping students by creating personalized curriculum that is fun and educational. I was a special education teacher for five years and have had a wide variety of students and I look forward to meeting new students I can help develop.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Creative Writing, A Masters of Fine Arts in Screenwriting. I have written and recorded songs in the music industry and have written a wide variety of plays, films, and television pilots. I've taken multiple copywriting courses that have helped me grow my freelance copywriting business.

When working with a student I like to get to know them a bit. I like to find out their interests in order to find topics that both excite and educate. I like to make the writing process fun and help the student develop brainstorming and outlining strategies that will help grow their writing.
