About Rachael
I am a tutor who is working on their teaching credential. I have worked in education for four and a half years of teaching elementary, middle, and college students. I pride myself on being able to make real connections with my students that help assist them in gaining academic confidence and self-esteem.
I often work with students who are below grade level in their academic challenges and learning. By working with the student, I get them back to grade level and above.
I enjoy working with the students and seeing them learn and grow over a period of time. During the process, I establish trust and rapport with my students enabling real progress and retention of their learning. My greatest satisfaction is students looking back at the subjects they struggled with and finding pride in mastering the materials.

My career started off working as a basic math and Algebra tutor for a year and a half at Ohlone College in Fremont for both mainstream and students with disabilities. While studying in the Middle East, I worked with middle school students who were learning English as their second or third language. For the past two years, I have found my home, working in an elementary school as an instructional aide.
