About Alex
I am graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education in April 2020. I am expected to be licensed as an Intervention Specialist K-12 Mild/Moderate & Moderate/Intense by July 2020. I am Highly Qualified to teach English.
I have experience working with English Language Learners, individuals with Autism, individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
I am passionate and educated in individualizing education to meet the needs and strengths of an individual.
My mother and grandmother both taught Special Education so it was natural for me to begin teaching.
I will have a degree in Special Education in April 2020.
I am Highly Qualified to teach Reading.
I am CPR and First Aide trained.

I usually begin by talking to them about their goals, if they have any and what their plan is to achieve that goal. Then I would have a discussion where we would brainstorm strategies to reach a set goal. I will try to get to know them during this process and ask their opinion on their own skills and needs as a student.
I have worked with students with disabilities ranging from Mild/ Moderate and Moderate/Intense ages 5-22 years old.
I have worked with gifted and general education students.
I have worked with English Language Learners and students with Emotional Disturbance.

*For a study skills lesson I charge $15 a lesson (45 minutes- 1 hour)
*For an general English lesson I charge $20 a lesson
*For an English lesson on a specific subject (including writing tasks 3+ pages) I charge $25 a lesson (45 minutes -1 hour 15 minutes)
*For an individualized lesson with adapted materials I charge $30-$60 a lesson (45 minutes -1 hour 30 minutes)
